Miss Samantha Howcroft, Principal & Director

Samantha Howcroft is the principal and Director of SJ Dance Studio. Samantha has had a great passion for dance since an early age and it’s had a massive impact on her life, she started classes from the age of four with a lifelong dream of one day opening up her own studio, teaching and sharing her love for dance with others. There’s no doubt Samantha has excelled in her dancing, from the age of 15 she started teaching and

choreographing for different primary schools, high schools and dance studios around the Sunshine Coast. Samantha took her dance career seriously so at age 16 she trained full time for 2 years with Queensland Dance and Performance College meanwhile also completing year 11 and 12. She received her Diploma in Dance and Grade 12 School Certificate and went on to teach until she was 19. For four years Samantha has been involved with a leading national entertainment agency, as a paid contacter performing around QLD for major events and shopping centres. Miss Samantha has ben accepted into multiple Full time Dance companies in Melbourne and Sydney but was offered a part scholarship for “Jason Coleman, Ministry Of Dance”, she took this offer and trained in Melbourne for 6 months to gain as much knowledge as she could about the dance industry. From their Samantha felt inspired and motivated to make her lifelong dream a reality, she moved back to Sunshine Coast and is committed to succeeding in her dream. Miss Samantha is a committed, talented and encouraging young dancer, teacher and choreographer hoping to pass on as much as she can to her SJ Family.
